Capital Rivers Commercial Sacramento Office
Zack Hayes' Biography
Zack Hayes is a Director of Sales and Leasing with Capital Rivers Commercial in the Sacramento office, specializing in retail sales and leasing, land sales and leasing, 1031 exchanges, and tenant representation throughout the Sacramento commercial real estate market.
Before joining Capital Rivers, Zack spent 18 years as a District Sales Manager for Sleep Train and Mattress Firm, where he oversaw multi-unit retail operations, led high-performing teams, and drove revenue growth across multiple locations. Through that experience, he developed firsthand knowledge of what makes a retail site successful, including traffic patterns, demographics, visibility, lease structures, occupancy costs, and operational efficiency. Because he has operated stores himself, Zack understands the real-world pressures retailers face and uses that insight to guide both tenant and landlord clients.
In addition, Zack worked as an Insurance Broker with Eureka General Insurance, specializing in personal and commercial home and auto coverage. That role strengthened his analytical skills, contract review capabilities, and risk assessment approach. As a result, he brings a disciplined eye to lease negotiations and deal structuring, always focused on protecting his clients’ interests while positioning assets for long-term success.
Zack is an active member of ICSC and ACRE and proudly supports the Ticket to Dream Foundation through volunteering and charitable contributions. In addition, he coaches youth soccer and basketball in Roseville and assists the President of Woodcreek High School Football in managing the program. Outside of work, Zack is a passionate Bay Area sports fan who follows the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and San Jose Sharks. He also enjoys golfing and hopes to one day attend the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.
Above all, Zack prioritizes time with his wife and three children, whether hiking, camping, exploring new restaurants, or coaching his kids in their latest sport. Known for his positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to doing what he says he will do, he approaches every assignment with a never give up mindset and a sense of humor that includes a well-timed dad joke.
